Clear aligners are removable trays designed to move teeth gradually according to a digital orthodontic plan. They can be discreet and convenient, but they still require a full orthodontic diagnosis.
An intraoral scan records the teeth and bite without conventional impression material. The orthodontist evaluates tooth movement, jaw relationships and functional needs before approving the sequence.
Aligners must be worn for the recommended daily duration and removed for meals and cleaning. Attachments or additional techniques may be needed to achieve specific movements.
Not every case is best treated with aligners. Suitability, estimated duration and alternatives are discussed after examination.
Every person has different clinical needs. Suitability, treatment options and timing can only be confirmed after an examination and any necessary imaging.
