A dental implant is a biocompatible fixture placed in the jawbone to support a crown, bridge or full-arch restoration. Implant planning begins with the final tooth in mind: appearance, bite, hygiene access and long-term function are considered together.
The assessment includes gum health, available bone, neighbouring teeth, medical history and smoking status. Three-dimensional imaging may be recommended to evaluate bone volume and anatomical structures.
Surgery and the final restoration are coordinated as one treatment plan. In full-arch cases, digital scanning and iMetric photogrammetry may be used when clinically appropriate to record implant positions for the prosthetic workflow.
Healing time, the need for additional procedures and the restoration schedule vary from person to person. Suitability can only be confirmed after a clinical examination.
Every person has different clinical needs. Suitability, treatment options and timing can only be confirmed after an examination and any necessary imaging.
